"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient ...
not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance"
(2 Peter 3:9).

Pray Dutchess is a network of Christians from various denominations who are praying for renewal in our churches, and for revival and transformation in our local community.

Pray without ceasing
Our goal is to bathe the county in prayer 24 hours a day. To literally "pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Men and women from six area churches, including four pastors, have already signed up to pray for 30 minutes once a week, in hopes of providing round-the-clock prayer coverage for Dutchess County. Our "prayer wall" resembles similar walls that already exist in Connecticut and elsewhere.

In addition, we meet once a month for corporate prayer and worship.

How to Participate
Please pray about it first and talk to your pastor. If God's given you the passion to intercede on behalf of others through prayer, we invite you to join our weekly prayer wall.  You might consider:

  • praying alone in your prayer closet,
  • joining a friend to pray, or
  • signing up your weekly prayer group for a timeslot

Become a Host Church
If people in your church and nearby churches are passionate about praying for revival, consider becoming a Pray Dutchess "host church." By hosting your own inter-denominational prayer meeting, b
elievers from other area churches will be able to join you once a month, once a week even, to seek the Lord’s face and pray for revival. We hope to see the Lord establish numerous host churches around the county, where intercessors from all denominations can gather together to pray.

Next Steps
Visit the tabs above for more information, or to contact us. We also encourage you to take our basic intercession training. It's a great refresher course for trained intercessors, and an essential starting point for beginners.
